Little Cornish buildings

An Exhibition

I am lucky to have a solo exhibition at The Old Bank in Fowey from 20th to 26th April 2026.

My little buildings of Cornwall will be in the old bank vault looking rather splendid in my white box frame shelves.

The little buildings are hand painted on reclaimed wood, cut to resemble buildings of all shapes and dimensions. The ones I’ve done for this exhibition are from all over Cornwall, from Kingsand to Sennen, from Fowey to Padstow, Truro to Penzance, Launceston to Lostwithiel.

Each building has caught me eye as I travel around Cornwall and it can be as simple as the colour of the front door that makes me stop and take a photo. Interesting architecture and added quirks always peek my interests, as do buildings that have hardly changed over the decades, their story there for all to see.

Many buildings have history and an interesting tale to tell. For instance the Narrow House in Kingsands: It is a tall thin building which is no more than 10ft wide (if that!) and when I first saw it one very cold January day I was intrigued. It turns out that there used to be an alleyway exactly where the house sits and the owner of the land decided that he needed more room so built this thin skinny building in the space.

I hope to see some of you at the PV or during the week in Fowey.
